Our Design Department is Growing & We Have a New Employee

Introducing:

Randy Wright, Design Engineer

new employee: RandyBio

My name is Randy Wright. I was born in California, but raised in Arizona at age 1. I went to high school at McClintock High and graduated in May of 2008.  I recently graduated from Arizona State University-Polytechnic in December 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Since my graduation I have been wanting to learn new things and meet new people through friends, family, and work environment. My favorite TV shows are One Piece(Anime), Big Bang Theory, Kitchen Nightmares, Master Chef, and Shark Tank.  I like to spend my time exploring fun new places, and listening and learning new tunes of music. I like listening to all kinds of music, but mainly listen to Alternative/Punk Rock.

Some Questions to Get to Know You:

What’s your favorite part about the job thus far?
My favorite part about this job so far is that I get to learn something new practically everyday and meet great people that make me feel most welcome to be here.

If you were alone in the car, what song would you sing and why?
This one is a tough one to answer, because there are many that I would sing since I enjoy singing myself. If I had to choose one it would be “Swing Life Away” by Rise Against. They are my favorite band, but I also love music that comes from the heart of someone who I can be passionate about.

Where would you choose to live: by the ocean, in the mountains, or in the woods?
I would choose to live by the ocean, because it’s very self soothing and is great for my asthma. Plus I love hearing the water pounding on the ocean’s shores.

Have you ever met someone famous? If not, who do you wish you could meet?
I don’t know if knowing someone from my junior high school counts, but his name is A.J. Young and he was on the Oscars a year ago.

You pick….what question do you want to ask yourself to answer?
What type of instruments have you played in your life?
I used to play the ocarina in elementary school, the classical bass in 4th grade, the alto saxophone in 5th grade, and today I play acoustic guitar as frequently as I can.
