That is a great question and one we receive often. The right LED lights in the end are up to each end user’s personal preference, but we’ve laid out these handy pointers to help you figure out which will be best for your application. Warning: This guide is mainly for kitchen lighting, however it can apply to most other areas as well.

Best places to install in the kitchen Under cabinets with lips to hide the LED lights. These LED lights have “industrial” look, so will be best hidden. Under cabinets without lips/ where bottom of cabinets are flush. Best in places where the LED lights will be seen. Ultra & Super Bright: LED Lights for under kitchen cabinets without lips
Normal Bright: Inside of opaque or glass cabinets, above cabinets, cove lighting, toe kick lighting
How many do I need? General rule of thumb is one 21 LED panel per standard size cabinet door or one 42 LED panel per large cabinet door. Allow 1.5″ space on each end of your panel to plug interconnect cables in. General rule of thumb is one 10″ LED panel per standard size cabinet door or one 18″ LED panel per large cabinet door. Allow 1.5″ space on each end of your panel to plug interconnect cables in. Measure the length of your cabinet. Subtract 3 inches. This will be the maximum size of LED lights you should order to allow space to plug your interconnect cables in.
