The higher density LEDs are encapsulated under epoxy creating seamless light uniformity. The higher density of LED diodes emits a strong light intensity while maintaining efficiency. Available in 39.4 ft reels or bulk strips, these unique can easily be cut and terminated with Inspired LED’s iDea Series Screw Terminal Solderless Connector for easy DIY installation. Can I use a magnetic driver/transformer to power these lights?

High-density COB lighting is not compatible with dimmable magnetic drivers/transformers. You must use a constant voltage driver like the EMCOD 5-in-1 Universal driver or the Magnitude LinDrive.

My COB LED lighting is very hot, is this normal?

COB LED lighting is a high-density LED strip with an epoxy coating, higher temps are expected.

If temps are exceeding 130°F you need to check the power supply/ driver/ transformer powering the COB LED strips. COB strips are NOT compatible with magnetic drivers/transformers. Using them will cause extreme heat from the COB strips.
